If Cities Wrote Year-End Reviews for 2025

How 2025 went — if cities could talk

Berlin
Looked chaotic, called it culture. Opened 47 concept spaces, closed 48.

Paris
Spent the year mildly disappointed in people, and deeply in love with itself. Never once apologized. Croissants remain consistently excellent.

London
Said interesting 12 million times, never once meaning anything good. Keeps charging for everything, especially the stuff that doesn't work.

New York
Worked with no days off. Proud of it. A little burned out, but calls that part of the brand. Pumpkin lattes got even pricier, so clearly everything's on track.

Dubai
Bought another skyscraper just because it could.

Tbilisi
Once again hosted everyone, fed them, poured the wine, and pretended nothing was going on.

Barcelona
Planned to work. Didn't happen. Launched yet another startup that's about to take off.

Amsterdam
Kept quiet, calm, and by the book. Still ended up the weirdest one in the room.

Rio de Janeiro
Planned to get organized. Threw a carnival instead.

So which city was your city of the year?
